Lifedge at Keswick Mountain Festival

Join the Lifedge team and Andy Waterman at #KMF2014

We will be kicking off our summer event tour, next month, up in the Lake District at the Keswick Mountain Festival. Together with Lifedge Pioneer, Andy Waterman we will be hosting a series of creative adventure workshops, hands on product demos and a whole host of other activities.

The Keswick Mountain Festival is one of the best outdoor lifestyle festivals in the world. The event draws the biggest outdoor brands from home and abroad, huge names in adventure travel and headline music acts, and this year we will be a part of it too.

Out of Lifedge base camp, located in the festival village, you’ll be able to take part in creative adventure workshops, hands on product demonstrations. We’ll also be offering a tasty treat in the form of Natur-Fika, (our Swedish-inspired twist on elevenses). All that and we’ve still got plenty more up our sleeve.

CREATIVE ADVENTURE WORKSHOPS

Leading our creative adventure workshops will be Lifedge Pioneer, Andy Waterman. Andy is a photographer, writer, filmmaker and magazine editor (formally of Privateer magazine) with years of experience capturing the outdoors in both words and pictures.

The sessions will revolve around either a mountain bike ride or trail run, exploring the outstandingly beautiful surroundings of Keswick and focusing on creating high quality creative adventure content using just your smartphone and Lifedge accessories (for those with iPhones).

With Andy’s expert guidance, you will make regular stops to learn how to shoot, write and publish creative content inspired by sport and the landscape. After the run or ride, you can enjoy a coffee and chat with Andy at Lifedge base camp while using our free Wi-Fi to upload and publish your newly created content to the web.

How to apply:

You don’t need to worry too much about your running and riding ability, as long as you have a little experience and basic fitness you’ll be more than fine. You will need your own equipment (running gear, mountain bike, helmet, etc) and smartphone/iPhone but Lifedge accessories, refreshments and Wi-Fi will be provided.

You will be able to sign up on the day but there are just 8 places available for each session, so it’s best to book in advance.

The festival promises to be great and we are looking forward to bringing something a little different to the event. We hope to see you there!
